Many archaeologists plan trips into the forest to learn more about the ecosystems and stories that exist. Sam Osmanagich, a Bosnian historian, did just that in 2016. He went to his home country’s Podubravlje Forest in search of a hidden treasure. While he was there, he discovered an unusual object. Despite its partial coverage, he could discern its spherical shape.

The width was 1.5 meters, and it weighed 30 tons. He conducted tests and discovered that the material was volcanic rock. But that was all the answers. Even now, no one knows what happened.
Zombie Fungus Latches Onto Animal Brain for Survival
You may be familiar with fungus, but have you ever heard of zombie fungi? Yes, the seeds will spread into the brain of any animal that comes close to the fungus. This will make the animal try to get as high as it can in the trees. After that, the animal will die, and the spores will spread even more.
Earthen Rings in the Amazon
We haven’t fully studied many of the world’s forests yet, but the Amazon jungle remains the most mysterious. In 2014, researchers found these rock rings in the Amazon rainforests of Brazil and Bolivia. They show that this huge area of trees holds secrets that no other place on Earth does. Scientists still don’t know what they are or what they mean. However, they are aware that humans created them.

Furthermore, studies conducted at this location have revealed that the creation of these rings predates the existence of the rainforest. This further broadens the range of unresolved questions.
A Dark Forest Monster
A lot of people plan trips into the forest to look for hidden treasure. Imagine the surprise someone would have felt if they had discovered this monster in the dark forest, rather than a treasure chest filled with gold. The peculiarity of this tree monster lies in its inability to distinguish between its natural tree growth form and its deliberate design to resemble a creature intent on capturing our souls.
However, we know that we never want to meet this person while walking in the woods, especially when the sun is just beginning to go down.

The bush is home to a multitude of trees. Most of the time, that’s all you can find! But once in a while, something unusual happens, like a tree full of pennies. However, the truly unusual aspect of this discovery is the necessity of hand-hammering each penny. Who then did it? Why did they do it? It doesn’t make sense.

A Tree Struck By Lightning
You can expect to see a lot of different trees as you walk through the forest. There are big trees, small trees, and thin trees, among other sizes and types. Have you ever seen lightning strike a tree? The person who took this picture saw a Ponderosa pine tree on fire in the bush and couldn’t believe what they were seeing. After the lightning strike, it looked ghostly.

Fortunately, lightning only struck this one tree. The animals and other plants suffered minimal damage. But this picture will always bother us.
A WWII Plane
During WWII, many planes crashed. We found and disposed of most of them appropriately, but not all of them. The truth is that some hunters found a Boeing B-17E bomber in the swamps of Papua New Guinea in 1972. Nobody knew it was there, and its appearance surprised everyone. The coffee in the Thermos cups was still there, after all.
