Cute And Comfy Fall Outfits For College You Are Gonna Love
Let’s get ready for the September!
Here are some of the cutest fall outfits for college that you can try for the next college year.
It’s always beneficial to have outfit ideas in mind, and one way to do that is by saving inspirational outfit pictures in your phone gallery.
That way you will know what to wear for the next morning.
I just want to mention one thing here.
I am getting some comments on my Pinterest that sometimes when I write an article about people over 50, there are no people over 50 in the pictures I use in the article.
Or when I wrote the article about making your legs longer, I had images of women that have long legs… Really? How should I measure the length of someone’s leg? Or how should I guess someone’s age from the image? – if you know the magic trick, let me know.
I am using images just for reference, without giving them too much thought.
My focus is on creating an article that provides valuable outfit ideas and inspiration for women.
And also if you are not a slim girl that’s okay as well. You are going to find these clothes in your size without any problem. If not, feel free to msg me for help.
Now, let’s get to the show!

1. Mix things up
What do I mean here? – You can mix the old and the modern styles to create something chic and unique.
Try to wear something from “old fashion” and pair it with a more trendy piece.
In this specific outfit, those pieces are a buttoned vest and a leather jacket. However, it would be wrong to say that the leather jacket is something new.
But the style of it changed a lot. So it’s still a more modern piece in the outfit.
Did you know that pointed-toe shoes can make your legs look longer?
If not, here are other tricks that you probably never heard of. Those are about how to make you look taller and slimmer without heels.
2. Cozy oversized sweater
This is one of the lazy fall outfits for college that you will see today.
I have to admit I love it.
Is there anything comfier than wearing an oversized sweater?
So the idea here is to pair a mini pleated skirt with an oversized sweater and don’t forget those cutest clogs. If you wonder, you can get them from Amazon.
3. Button down shirt and a vest
For the next outfit, you can wear a button-down shirt with a faux fur vest and a mini skirt again.
If it’s colder days you can change shoes for something warmer like high-knee boots. They will look fantastic with a mini skirt.
4. All black
If you are like me and you love wearing black clothes this is the outfit that you can try for the next college class outfits.
It’s always a good idea to add some vibrant colors to fall.
Plus it’s the best option to pair any color with all black outfit.
By the way, if you are really into black outfits, you should check out my article where I share 30 different all-black outfits for a whole month.
Basically, you can wear different outfits every day in only black color. And you’re not gonna feel bored with them – that’s the key here.
5. Sweater dress
This is what I was talking about cute fall college outfits. But this one looks like a lazy fall outfit as well.
This is the outfit with an oversized sweater dress and high boots – which is the perfect shot.
Make the look chicer by adding some accessories. Don’t forget to take a bag for your laptop as well.
There will be so many outfit ideas in this article but if you ever need more inspiration, here you can find more back-to-school trendy outfits in my previous article.
6. Biker shorts with an oversized sweater
This is probably the outfit that I have seen so many times in my town as well.
Biker shorts are so popular this year.
And if your place is not very cold in the fall you are lucky, because you can wear them to college.
But let me tell you the thing.
First of all, if you haven’t ever heard about different body shapes, go to my body types section because you are gonna learn a lot of things there.
But let me save some of your time and tell you that, biker shorts are not a really good idea for women with a pear body shape.
You have a pear shape when your shoulder and bust size is smaller than your hips, then you have a pear body shape.
Along with larger hips, you should have wide thighs as well.
I have a pear body shape too – that’s why I know things so well about this body type.
This is the reason why biker shorts don’t work the best way on our body shape. They make legs look even fatter and it doesn’t look very flattering.
7. Mini skirt and a coat
Whether you are creating everyday work outfits, college fall outfits, or any other outfits the most important task for you is to find the perfect balance.
In this example, I love balancing the lengths of different pieces of the outfit.
It’s the best idea to pair a short skirt with a long coat. They look great together.
Another thing that I love about this look is that everything is solid.
There are not any prints (except socks) in this outfit, which makes the outfit look so elegant and polished.
8. Cute top and a bolero jacket
If you are reading this that means you are looking for some early fall college outfits. And this is the perfect option to go for.
Pair a cute summer top with a skirt and wear a solid color bolero with the outfit.
Don’t forget accessories, please!
9. Crop top and mom jeans
This is the go-to fall college outfit for every fashionista girl.
This is probably the easiest and the quickest college outfit that you can try this year.
13. Sweater over shirt
A sweater over a button-down shirt is a perfect combination for college students.
It looks very polished and aesthetic.
You can pair anything with them – classy pants, short skirts, jeans, etc.
14. Matching set
If you are going shopping for some new clothes, add some matching sets to your shopping list.
First of all, they are very useful when you want to quickly get ready in the morning.
They are the easiest way to create lazy fall outfits for college.
15. Go solid
Keep everything simple.
Pair solid color clothes together and you are good to go.
16. Wide-leg pants and a sweater
Don’t forget that wide-leg pants are very popular right now.
It’s a piece that you can pair with so many things.
But you know what, I want you to try the combination of brown and blue colors. I am sure you are gonna love it.
Plus brown is the best fall color.
17. Black and white
Black and white clothes are perfect for college outfits.
And I am in love with this idea.
Mini skirt, long button-down shirt, and a long vest with loafers. Just perfect!
18. Cute ruffle skirt with a cardigan
This is probably one of the cute fall college outfits that I ever shared. I am in love with this.
“Black is always elegant” (we all hear that) but white is more (in my opinion).
I love wearing black clothes but I still think white looks the best in the fall.
19. Wide jeans and a puffer jacket
Be a typical teenager sometimes – it’s totally OK!
Wear wide-leg jeans with a cropped sweater and a vest.
Add some accessories and you are good to go.
20. Cropped cardigan over the basic T-shirt
Put a printed cardigan over a white basic T-shirt. Wear your favorite pair of jeans.
Get some of your cute accessories, take your backpack, and have fun.
21. Teddy coat
I’ve never mentioned this on my blog.
Fall is the favorite season for my husband. Can you guess the reason? – well, probably not. He loves wearing jackets and outerwear – that’s the main reason why he is waiting for fall every year, lol
I remembered that because we both are in love with teddy and faux fur jackets. We have a ton of them.
I am falling in love with this jacket as well. I mean, this is something that I would wear every day.
It looks great with a short skirt and tights.
22. Shirt and a skirt
This is an outfit idea for someone who prefers to wear something more classy.
Go simple and pair a white button-down shirt with a short black skirt.
Wear high boots with the outfit and you are done.
A classy handbag will be ideal here.
In case you are in love with high boots, you can read my article and find dresses to wear with high-knee boots.
23. Try some vintage outfits
If you love some vintage vibes, you can try this outfit idea.
This is when you can wear high-waisted classy pants with a velvet blazer jacket.
24. Bodysuit and sweatpants
Go casual by wearing sweatpants to college. They are the comfiest and ideal for fall outfits.
25. Crop top and puffer coat
Did you ever think about this combo? – short sleeve crop top and a puffer jacket.
These are great things to pair together.
You are gonna look cute and feel comfy and warm at the same time at the college.
26. Sweatshirt with a pleated mini skirt
Another fall essentials for college class outfits are sweatshirts.
You can style them in so many different ways. With jeans, skirts, tailored classy pants, and so on.
27. Button-down shirt with wide pants
I love how this outfit looks.
So for this, you are gonna need a long button-down shirt and a sleeveless blazer vest. You need wide-leg jeans to pair with them.
Tuck your shirt halfway into your jeans and leave the other part untucked.
28. Blazer is the king
Blazer is the piece that I can never have enough. I love it.
You can easily style so many cool fall college outfits with a blazer.
A little tip here: more blazers mean more different outfits.
29. Trench coat with jeans
If you are looking for more casual fall college outfits this is the one to try.
Wear high-waisted jeans with a cropped top and use a long trench coat as outerwear. This is a simple but chic-looking outfit that everyone would love to wear.
By the way, I know low-waist pants are making a comeback, but I still recommend wearing high-waisted jeans and pants because I think they look more flattering.
30. Keep everything neutral
You can reach a very elegant look by just pairing clothes with neutral tones. They just make outfits look more expensive than they really are.
Wearing neutral color outfits for fall college outfits is a good idea for several reasons.
- Neutral tones such as beige, tan, gray, and navy are versatile and can be easily mixed and matched, allowing for a variety of outfit combinations.
- They also provide a timeless and classic look that never goes out of style.
- Additionally, neutral colors are easy to accessorize with, making it simple to add scarves, hats, or jewelry to complete the outfits.
- Finally, neutral colors are appropriate for a range of occasions, whether it’s attending classes, studying in the library, or socializing with friends.
31. Use more neutral fabrics
Let’s not discuss fast fashion, but I have something else to share.
Natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, cashmere, and silk always look better than cheaper alternatives.
They don’t just look better but they feel better on your body as well.
So, it’s better to invest in more high-quality clothes than many cheap ones that will not last for a semester.
It is quality rather than quantity that matters. – Lucius Annaeus Seneca

Use a button-down shirt as a cardigan sometimes.
You can pair it with so many things. It’s a classy piece in your wardrobe that will help you look cute, comfy, elegant, and polished.
35. Leather pants with a teddy jacket
I’ve talked about teddy jackets today, but I didn’t about leather pants.
I was very skeptical about leather pants and why they became popular. Although I love how it looks now when I try wearing them.
Sometimes it’s a good idea to combine different textures in one outfit, such as pairing a fur jacket with leather pants, a denim jacket with leather pants, or a fur jacket with denim pants.
36. Pleated plaid skirt
Don’t tell me that she is not a college student, I don’t care.
I just wanted to share this outfit because it’s so colorful and looks amazing.
Agree with me, plaid skirts are must have for college outfits.
Plaid skirts are a great choice for fall college outfits because they are stylish, and versatile, and can be easily paired with sweaters, tights, and boots to create a cozy and fashionable look.
The warm colors and classic pattern of plaid also complement the autumn season, making it a perfect choice for fall fashion.
37. Turtleneck sweater with a mini skirt
It’s a good idea to wear a turtleneck sweater with a mini skirt for fall college outfits because it’s a stylish and comfortable combination that can keep you warm during the colder weather.
The turtleneck provides extra warmth for your upper body, while the mini skirt adds a trendy and youthful touch to the outfit.
38. Vintage blazer and wide pants
Vintage blazers and wide pants are a great choice for fall college outfits because they offer a stylish and polished look while providing comfort and warmth as the weather gets cooler.
The blazer adds a sophisticated touch to any outfit, while the wide pants are not only trendy but also cozy for the autumn season.
This outfit is perfect for going from a day in class to a fun night out with friends. It’s a versatile and practical choice for fall fashion!
39. Monochromatic outfit
If you are petite, the first thing you should do is check out my article about making your legs look longer with the right pants.
Then you need to know that you can make yourself look higher by wearing monochromatic outfits.
What are monochromatic outfits? – this is when you are wearing different shades of the same color together in one outfit.
This not only makes you look elegant and rich but also elongates your body silhouette.

Don’t forget accessories to make the look complete.
43. Nude color outfit
If you are wondering, this is one of the best college outfits on today’s list for me.
I love the idea of wearing all neutral colors but wearing nude colors together is something fantastic.
It looks so extravagant and stylish, doesn’t it?
Nude-colored outfits are great for fall college outfits because they offer a neutral and versatile option that can be easily paired with other fall colors such as brown, maroon, or olive green.
Additionally, nude colors can provide a cozy and sophisticated look during the autumn season.
44. Denim on denim
I’ve seen many denim-on-denim outfits, but I’ve never thought about tucking a denim shacket into denim pants.
But I love how it looks.
45. Bright color puffer jacket
Don’t forget to rock a brightly colored puffer jacket this fall! It’s perfect for adding warmth and a pop of color to your autumn wardrobe.
The puffer style is also trendy and practical for the changing weather, making it a perfect choice for staying cozy and stylish on campus during the cooler months.
