1. You Wash Your Hair Too Often

It’s important to have clean hair, but washing it every day is detrimental for it. If you clean your hair too often, it can become dry and brittle because the natural oils that keep it healthy are removed. If you can handle it, you should shampoo your hair once or twice a week.

2. You’re Too Stressed

Yes, stress and drama can deteriorate your hair. No matter if it’s about money or love, too much stress can make your hair thin and fall out. No, we can’t always make things happen our way. Make an effort to breathe through life’s challenges. If you don’t, it will show up on your cap!

3. You Wrap Your Hair Too Tight

When you wear your hair in a tight way, you damage the strands and follicles too much. Of course, you want everything to be perfect, but pulling those ends in and closing them up hurts them. You might not always like having your hair down or in your face. Try not to pull it too much, though. If putting your hair up changes the way your eyes look, it’s too tight.

4. You Wear Headbands

Headbands are currently in vogue. They’re not your best friend, though, honey. We know it’s shocking. While headbands can conceal bad hair days, they can also exacerbate hair issues. When you wear headbands over and over, they can break hair around the neck, which can cause the hair to fall out. Watch out!

5. You Wash Your Hair Right Before Bedtime

Don’t wash your hair before going to bed. It’s not safe to sleep with wet hair on. When wet, hair is at its best, so be careful. Pulling on it too much after sleeping on it could stress the follicles. This also causes hair breakage and frizz. Let it dry for a moment first.

6. You Eat the Wrong Food

If what you eat makes you who you are, it could be bad for your hair. This is true: things that are low in iron and protein can make your hair thin. Because there are so many plans and ways to eat, make sure you’re getting enough of the nutrients you need every day. You could also think about taking vitamins that you can buy without a prescription. But you should always talk to your doctor first!

We’re not telling you to throw away your towel. If you rub your wet hair hard with a towel, though, you might damage it. Do not rub it or wrap it too tightly; instead, just blot the wet spots. This can keep things from breaking.

8. You Expose Your Hair to the Sun

If you visit the beach or pool in the afternoon after bleaching or coloring your hair, you risk breaking and losing it. The salt in the ocean makes your hair hard, leaving a very hard film on it.
